Mysterious / Sci-Fi   Believer - Colin's Theme 1:31 Audio (Orchestra, electronic) This is a draft of a main character theme I created for a sci-fi film called Believer. There's a naivete to the character that I wanted to capture in addition to that spacey feel. Morning Buddy 1:17 Audio (Orchestra) Theme I created for a weird short about a lonely boy who has a fish as his best friend. The short was never actually shot though. I composed this during pre-production. See You on the Otherside 4:21 Audio (Orchestra, electronic) Part of a cue for a computer animated short about an art patron who goes inside of a Picasso painting. This is close to minimalism in that there's a lot of repetition. I think it turned out well. It builds quite a bit in the second half. Loss 2:51 Audio (Orchestra) In this piece I played around with rhythmic accent. The background is meant to be slightly hypnotic. The main theme played over the background is introduced by trumpet and then repeated by the strings. Loss - variation 1:41 Audio (Piano solo) Piano version of the same theme. This one includes an extended version of the theme with a longer chord progression. Blue Hole - Forest 5:11 Audio (Orchestra) Cue from a sci-fi short I did. A harp introduces the solo piano which plays as the main character drives into the forest. Once there, the character steps out of the car, and the orchestra enters. The slow music near the end is for a montage showing the character is missing. The Charmer 4:39 Audio (Flute, bassoon, euphonium) This is a trio I wrote for a group at Kent State University. I think it's pretty good considering it's my first. It has a middle-eastern feel, and brought up the image of a snake charmer.
